A Photo Story submitted by 9-year-old Amy-Mae M. of Northern Ontario.
Usually, when they went to camp, Charlsea and Brianne shoveled the bridge that went into the woods.
Today, Brianne and Charlsea decided to go into the woods. “A new moose trail,” said Charlsea! “Let’s follow it.”
There was a lot of fallen trees from the recent snowstorms, that the girls had to climb over.
Finally they found a nice sunny spot where the moose trail ended! “This is amazing,“ said
Charlsea. Brianne plopped down in the snow to rest. “We must get going home. Our leggings are soaked and soon it will be dark,” said Brianne.
Brianne and Charlsea made it back to the bridge in record time! Then they decided tomorrow they would come back with their friends!
The next morning Brianne and Charlsea headed back down the moose trail with their friends Taryn, Jak and Haily!
They led their friends down the moose trail! “There is going to be some fallen trees,” Brianne and Charlsea said.
When they reached the fallen trees, they helped each other get over them.
It was getting sunnier so they knew they were close to the sunny spot!
Finally they made it! “Isn’t this amazing?” said Charlsea and Brianne at the same time! They all agreed. They talked for awhile and relaxed in the snow.
It was getting dark and Brianne said, “I think we should head back to camp.” Everyone agreed, and started off down the moose trail again!
When they made it back to camp, it was time to head home. They all had one wish on their minds: to come back to camp next weekend and take a hike back to the sunny spot!
The End.
Note from Maplelea: When photographing dolls in the snow, do as Amy-Mae did and be extra careful that no snow gets in the dolls' eyes! And, when finished, remove any wet clothes from the dolls immediately and let them air dry.
