Social Media Manager

The opportunity
We know what we want in the way of digital marketing. We just need you to adapt and execute the plan with your own creativity and gusto.
You will come to us with proven design and social media skills and will hone them with access to an external mastermind program. It will provide you with instructional resources and direct access to a variety of Shopify marketing experts on a regular basis. You can learn from experts to grow your skills while adapting a proven marketing program to meet the needs of our brand.
Reporting to the president/founder in a small company, you will be right in the thick of things. The work you do will have an immediate and significant impact on the success of the brand.
Tasks
- Execute an extensive digital marketing program for this holiday season and beyond.
- Create the assets needed for the marketing program in various formats using Canva.
- Implement the assets on the various platforms, initially mostly FB and IG, but will expand to Pinterest, YouTube, and others.
- Create and update website content to support marketing efforts
- Use Klaviyo to manage and grow our extensive email list
- Co-ordinate influencers
- Create occasional offline print materials
- Use, in creative ways, the wonderful UGC (photos and photo stories) that our superfans send to us.
Skills and traits needed:
- An interest in dolls and pride in our Canadian identity
- An understanding of our two target markets:
- smart parents who think carefully about the playthings they give their child, and
- enthusiastic adult doll collectors
- A creative flair for design, writing and content creation
- Very good to excellent knowledge of Canva and Klaviyo
- Knowledge of Shopify is a bonus
- Experience in content creation for social media
- Very good to excellent knowledge of Facebook/Instagram organic and paid media implementation and analysis
