Refund policy

Returns

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.

Late or missing refunds
If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at customerservice@maplelea.com.

Exchanges (if applicable)
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at customerservice@maplelea.com and send your item to: Avonlea Traditions Inc., 619 Steven Court, Unit 6, Newmarket ON L3Y 6Z3 Canada.

European Union Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days of receiving your order without providing a reason.

To exercise this right, you must notify Maplelea within 14 days of receiving your order by contacting us at customerservice@maplelea.com.

Once you have notified us of your decision to withdraw, you must return the goods within 14 days. Returned items must be unused, in their original condition, and include all original packaging, accessories, and documentation.

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning goods to Maplelea's warehouse in Canada. International return shipping costs may be significant and are the responsibility of the customer.

Upon receipt and inspection of the returned goods, Maplelea will refund the purchase price and any standard outbound shipping charges paid at the time of purchase, in accordance with applicable European Union consumer protection legislation. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.

A refund may be reduced if the value of the goods has diminished as a result of handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the products.

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Personalized or custom-made products.
  • Digital products or downloadable content once delivery has begun.
  • Gift cards.
  • Any products exempt from withdrawal rights under applicable law.

Shipping
To return your product, you should bring or mail your product to: Avonlea Traditions Inc., 619 Steven Court, Unit 6, Newmarket ON L3Y 6Z3 Canada.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over $75, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.

Returns & Exchanges - Apparel

Our apparel items are made to order especially for you once your order is placed.

Because these products are custom-produced, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Ordering the wrong size
  • Ordering the wrong colour
  • Change of mind
  • Buyer's remorse

Please review sizing information carefully before placing your order.

If Your Item Arrives Damaged or Defective

If your apparel item arrives:

  • Damaged
  • Misprinted
  • Defective
  • Incorrectly manufactured please contact us within 14 days of delivery.

Include:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Clear photographs showing the problem

We will work with our production partner to arrange a replacement or refund where appropriate.

Incorrect Item Received

If you receive an item different from what you ordered, please contact us within 14 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement.

Lost Packages

If tracking shows your package has not been delivered, please contact us and we will investigate with the carrier and our fulfillment partner.

Sizing Information

Sizing charts are provided for all apparel products.

As each item is made to order, we cannot accept returns or exchanges for sizing issues. We recommend comparing measurements carefully before ordering.
