Features of Jenna's Sea Turtle Expedition Set:

• Jenna's windbreaker has a hood that folds into the collar.  An opening in the back of the lined jacket becomes a pouch to store the jacket. And then, it fits into her backpack!
• The cargo pants have two real zipper pockets.
• The clipboard has a magnetic clasp that holds her Observation Forms in place while she notes the detail of her turtle sighting.
• The clipboard fits perfectly in Jenna's right hand. (Maplelea hands were designed to hold objects.)
• The project board and all written materials are bi-lingual, as it always is with Maplelea.
• The turtle life-cycle models have been carefully painted to represent real leatherback turtles, right down to the pale pink splotch on the top of the head.
• The t-shirt, windbreaker and cap feature the authentic logo of the Canadian Sea Turtle Network.
  
• A small piece of recycled plastic netting is included to emphasize that the greatest threat to sea turtles survival is accidental entanglement in commercial fishing gear.
• Jenna's 16-page story journal booklet describing her adventure was written in collaboration with the Canadian Sea Turtle Network by an educator who actually travelled with the organization on an expedition.
• There's is also a blank 16-page story journal booklet for the child to record their own sea turtle adventures.
• This set was designed for Maplelea Canadian Girl Doll Jenna, but is suitable for all 18-inch girl dolls and boy dolls.

This set has been created in collaboration with the Canadian Sea Turtle Network of Halifax, NS. 5% of the proceeds is being donated to this organization doing important work in the preservation of endangered leatherback and loggerhead sea turtles.
