When Léonie's family visits her tante and oncle's cabane à sucre during maple sugar season, they often help out with the traditional entertainment for the guests. For this, Léonie wears an outfit like her ancestors might have worn over 300 years ago. Léonie's journal pages include detailed information about the history and traditions of the pioneer outfit.
This highly detailed, multi-piece outfit features top of the line fabrics, including a fully lined mantalet (jacket). The snap on the white scarf and velcro on the back of the jacket make it easy to put on, while maintaining the authentic appearance of this historically accurate pioneer Québécoise outfit. Her long white chemise, apron, and tights keep her warm in the chilly Quebec weather, and her long striped skirt and shoes with embroidered buckles adds some character to her otherwise traditional outfit.

Beautiful.
I loved how there were so many different layers, and how the little buckle shoes have actual wooden heels! All of the details came together and made it look like it came right out of the 1700s!
The outfit was very nice quality, and well made. The main problem is the tights were too tight, and they wouldn't fit into the shoes. The shoes didn't fit.

Thank you again for your feedback, we’ve checked in with our team regarding the fit. The tights are designed to be a snug fit for Maplelea dolls, which helps them sit nicely without slipping.
That said, if they are being used on an American Girl doll, the slightly different foot shape can sometimes affect how well items like tights and shoes fit together. While we aim for our outfits to work with most 18-inch dolls, there can occasionally be small variations in fit between brands.

You just cannot beat the quality of Maplelea. This outfit is so pretty. The price is very fair & the fact the outfit comes complete (not having to buy the shoes etc separately) is awesome!! Even with this tariff thing happening here in the U.S, I'm more than happy to keep ordering from Maplelea over American Girl. I have never regretted a purchase from Maplelea thus far.
