Ulu Amauti - Traditional Inuit Garment for 18-inch Dolls
THIS ITEM WILL BE AVAILABLE MID NOVEMBER 2025.
Inspired by Inuit design, Saila's amauti keeps her warm during the cold Arctic winter.
Saila's amauti blends traditional design with modern materials to make the perfect winter garment that Saila is so proud to wear. It is trimmed with colourful gross grain and rickrack, and embroidered ulu.
The ulu is a traditional Inuit women's knife with a crescent-shaped blade. Saila's grandmother is teaching her not only how to use it, but the cultural traditions behind it, as Saila tells you in her journal pages.
This garment is slipped over the head and tied with the colourful braided cord. The hood of the amauti is big enough that Saila's puppy, Nanuq, can snuggle down inside.
Includes:
- Traditional Inuit amauti
- Collectible journal pages
Doll, puppy, and other accessories are sold separately. (Puppy will be available end of November 2025.)
