Where to begin? from the beginning. 20 years ago, I met a Canadian Man, playing minor professional hockey, in Roanoke, VA,USA. His name is Mark Scott. Before we were married, I flew to Canada and travelled to his hometown in Manitoba. A tiny town of about 600 people,at the bottom of Riding Mountain National Park, named McCreary.
He was born and raised in the same little farmhouse, on a running Cattle farm, complete with cows, chickens, pigs, dogs and cats.( they came and went). His family home is nestled in a picturesque spotwhere their west facing window faces the mountain and the great Manitoba sky shows off sunsets and sunrises daily, all to his mother’s delight. Nestled between neepawa and Dauphin, he grew up, helping on the farm, eating cabbage rolls and homemade pergogis and onions, and playing hockey among other things.
Sowhen I heard from Blaine at Disblaine on YouTube, about Maplelea and Brianne in particular, I couldn’t believe my ears! What? A girl doll created in nearly the EXACT town and way of life that my husband and his family grew up and lived?????Manitoba is a big Province… how MapleLea ended up choosing such a niche place is incredible!
Brianne is lovely! Her story resonates nearly exactly how my husband grew up,her personality matches nearly perfectly with mine and my youngest daughter’s. It’s uncanny.
The doll itself is exquisitely made, precious childlike features true to a little girl of 10. (My youngest is 10). Thank you from the bottom of my heart for keeping these dolls affordable and the quality pristine. As a doll collector, I recognize there are imperfections that are expected, so I do not say this as a complaint.The only thing Brianne is struggling with is one of her darling eyes is crooked in her head, leaving the metal casing slightly sticking out from her eye socket visibly. Since my husband and I are living in the US,it would be difficult to get her eyefixed.but it’s ok. She’s precious!
This is the first but NOT the last Maplelea doll I’ve purchased! Thank you! Thank you, again for this brand!

Brianne is a beautiful doll. Her outfit is outstanding and so well made. Her picture does not do her justice. I love her story. I highly recommend this doll and her accessories.

I opened my new Brianne doll yesterday to film my Birthday video for my YouTube channel Cherished Doll Friends. I was thrilled with her! The keepsake box is so nice, perfect for storing her things. I love her journal too. The artwork is so beautiful and I can’t wait to read all about her character, her family and pets and where she is from. The doll has such a sweet face with dimples and pretty blonde hair with waves and bangs. I just love her. The new outfit with the pink denim ruffled jacket and blue embroidered dress is absolutely adorable. Thank you so much to the MapleLea team for continuing to make such good quality dolls. The clothing and accessories are so realistic, just like real kids clothes in miniature sizes. So charming and fun to play with! 💕❤️🍁

I got this doll for my 5-year-old daughter for Christmas and she couldn't be more thrilled. She loves dressing her up, brushing her hair, and playing with the doll. She's come everywhere with us since Christmas. I am glad I got the pyjamas too, since she wants to tuck her into bed each night. The doll is very well made and the perfect size. Very happy with my purchase, and so is my daughter!
