Léonie loves birds and she is noticing more cardinals in the back alleys of Quebec now that the innovative "green alleys" program has added bird-friendly native vegetation and habitat features.
🐦 Léonie's fine knit Fair Isle sweater features a band of pretty red cardinals. In celebration of her Quebec heritage, the gold buttons on her red corduroy skirt were custom-made by Maplelea to feature the fleur-des-lys, a proud symbol of her home province. The delicately patterned knee-high socks and textured tweed shoes add a classy touch to her outfit.
In her journal pages she talks about the program encouraging the return of cardinals and other birds to the urban environment.
