This set has everything Jenna needs for an expedition and her class presentation afterwards! Jenna dons her CSTN shirt, windbreaker, ties up her hair with her 2 hair elastics and puts on her ball cap, because she is headed on a Sea Turtle Expedition. She has her camera, clipboard, observation forms, and field journal at the ready to capture and document her sea turtle sightings. As she walks down the shore in her blue water sandals, she spots some recycled plastic netting, and realizes that this is why sea turtles really need our help. 

During her class presentation Jenna uses her 4 leatherback turtle lifecycle models with her project display board to showcase how turtles grow. She then packs up all her gear into her backpack and heads home to write about the expedition in her story journal, even leaving blank journal pages for her friends to fill out after their adventures too!

Turtle outfit review

Good information on the mini board.
Very good educational tool for children
The write up that came with the outfit contained very good info and should encourage children to be a citizen scientist.
Hopefully themes like this one may encourage children in the sciences.

This set is inspirational, beautifully made, in extraordinary detail.
I was impressed by the models for the life cycle.
Quality of the clothing exceptional, as usual for Maplelea.
The paper products are STUNNING - the children can use them, both in 1/3 scale miniature and life sized.
Something like this can also inspire a child or family to branch out themselves, and make a series of other school projects themselves about other projects - using the clip board and the display stand (pinning their own papers onto them, temporarily) and creating their own 1/3 scale models of the life cycle of creatures.

Funducational!

Funducational is a word the kids in our family use for anything that teaches about a topic in a fun way. This set has a cute outfit with a lot of great pieces and also has turtle accessories that are fun to play with and educational. The set is a real hit with the whole family including the ones who aren't doll people.

Jenna’s sea turtle expedition outfit 😍

I really love this outfit and all the little details: the real working zippers on the pockets of the pants, the clipboard with with the observation forms, I love how one side is in English and one side is in French but if I could change one thing about the set would be to not put Velcro on the jacket. I am an adult collector, and I have snagged the hood with the Velcro several times already. I think buttons or snaps or something else would’ve been a better choice. overall great set and the information on the sea turtles. in the journal pages was very interesting and informative. I enjoyed reading it. Overall, I recommend this set.

Sea Turtle Expedition set

Great set with wonderful detailing of clothing, shoes, and accessories. An expensive set but includes the bonus factor that part of the purchase price goes towards turtle conservation efforts. A great teaching tool as well as a great play set. Keep up the great work--and keep it Canadian!
