Saila's outfit blends contemporary style with her proud Inuit heritage. Her gathered neck t-shirt with an embroidered maple leaf gets an added layer of warmth from the zip-up vest. She wears dark blue jeans and on her feet she has traditional kamiik with embroidered felt socks.
This premium quality doll is 46cm (18 inches) tall has a soft, huggable body and poseable arms and legs. Her eyes open and close. She has dark black-brown hair, brown eyes and medium dark complexion.
Saila's 64-page story journal has 3 versions included: English, French and Inuktitut! The journal expands to include the extra journal pages that come with each outfit. The journal includes an extensive glossary as well as a sections with questions, blanks and prompts so you can tell your story too!
A brush is not included with the doll and story journal. To keep the hair on your Maplelea Girl looking its best, we highly recommend the use of a brush with bristles that are made of metal and have rounded ends. Our KM8 Maplelea brush is especially designed for use with these dolls.
Everything is enclosed in a beautiful, newly re-designed keepsake window box that you can use to hold Saila's accessories.

Saila is something truly special. I think it's simply wonderful that there's an Inuit doll, and such a beautiful one at that. Her face is simply sweet, peaceful and serene. Her starter outfit is also particularly elaborate and detailed. Such a wholesome doll! The only drawback is her eye color. In the product pictures, they have a warm brown tone. My Saila's, however, are almost purple. It's a bit disconcerting, but not worth deducting a star. A full 5 stars for Saila!

Ok, y’all, so I’m a long time doll collector new to this brand. I’ve been a lifelong fan of American Girl dolls and was recently introduced to Maplelea through YouTube. Let me just say, Saila is one of the prettiest dolls I own and the quality of these products are top notch. I bought some clothes and shoes as well, nothing I’ve bought has disappointed. Honestly, the shoes blow me away, I’ve never owned such nice doll shoes before. Saila herself is absolutely gorgeous and such a wonderful addition to my collection, I even brought her with me to therapy this week. She’s a truly lovely and unique doll, I would absolutely recommend. Thank y’all for y’all’s products, I will order again.
Saila is the first Maplelea doll I have purchased and is a welcome addition to my growing doll collection. However, the first doll I received had a couple of minor defects that I just could not overlook. Customer service was wonderful and responsive, and after sharing the details (photos and such) of the issues with the doll, my situation was escalated to Karen, the office manager. She was so kind and helpful and really wanted me to be happy with my purchase, so we agreed on my returning the doll, undressed, for a replacement doll. When the replacement arrived she was perfect in every way and I am so happy with my purchase! Saila’s sweet smile gives me such joy, and I have surrounded her with polar bear decor and other collectibles. As an American who is descended from French Canadians I am so happy to be helping out a small business in our neighboring country.
Today I received an email from Maplelea advising their American friends that as the (terrible) tariffs are temporarily on hold, now is the time to make purchases we may have postponed— so I chose to purchase some additional items from Saila’s collection! I’m looking forward to receiving them very much. I have a few outfits and some older items from Maplelea, including Piccolo the cockatiel and Chapta the cat, and everything is made with top quality and attention to detail. I plan to purchase Saila’s dogs, Nukilik and Nanuq when they are back in stock!
