Ensemble de chandails Sunrise de la Nouvelle-Écosse

Every piece in this set is absolutely amazing! I love how the pants fit, plus the colour is fantastic; the shirt has adorable little buttons and a sweet curved hem; the hat stretches nicely to go on the doll's head; and the sweater is nice and cozy. All in all, every piece is worth it!

I bought the Nova Scotia Sunrise sweater set for another grandma who lives in Germany, with a now five-year-old granddaughter who is a cousin to our two mutual grandsons. Oma was a high school teacher of French and History, and has visited both the Maritimes and the West Coast, as well as being familiar with Canadian history in general. I had bought my own four-year-old granddaughter Leonie many years ago, and knew that Maplelea dolls would be cherished by both Oma and her granddaughter. Charlsea, Taryn and Saila from Canada love to play with her. Oma says they must be the best dressed dolls in the whole country! Oma makes play clothes for "the girls" from scraps left over from outfits for her granddaughter, adding to their Maplelea wardrobes.
I used to be able to knit, but can't now. It was the sweater coat that attracted me to this set. It's easy for a child to put on her dolls, and the bright colours will match many other wardrobe items. The detail in the skinny pants with real inset pockets would be a challenge for grandmas to duplicate, and the little tank top with its rainbow buttons is perfect with the pants. Both can be mixed and matched with other clothes by creative kids. The matching hat can go with other outfits as well. "The girls" will have to share and take turns, but learning that skill is good for granddaughters, too! It warms my heart to think of how many happy play hours this set will contribute to both now and in years ahead. I love that Oma can use the stories that Maplelea provides about Canadian life and history to help her granddaughter think of our country as an interesting and friendly place she can relate to easily. (All the dolls, Oma and Opa and the granddaughter have orange Every Child Matters T-shirts!)

The colors and the long style are perfect on any of the girls. Love the different blues.

This is one of the cutest outfits Maplelea has! The sleeveless shirt has the tiniest little buttons and a curved front hem that looks really nice on my dolls. The pants are a smooth material and they have real pockets! As someone already mentioned, the sweater is great quality, as is the hat. It all matches so nicely but also has great mix and match potential. And if you're buying for American Girl dolls, it should fit them nicely too. I'm very glad I bought this set!
