July 22 is National Hammock Day!  So, why not relax in the shade and enjoy a nap with your Maplelea Doll all snuggled up in a hammock?

Did You Know? The hammock dates back thousands of years to Central America where it protected people while sleeping -- keeping them safe from creatures. Eventually, explorers brought it back to Europe in the 17th century. Not long after, the hammock found its way onto naval ships, providing comfort and maximizing space. Nowadays, hammock are a more leisurely item suspended between trees in backyards and cottages.

Do you want to make a fun hammock for your Maplelea Doll? Follow along with us to make a fun craft!

What are you going to need?

PLUS: You will also need an adult to help you, especially with the sewing part (it's sharp!)
